Individual Therapy

I offer a menu of treatment options for anxiety and OCD. I am trained in Inference Based CBT by Dr. Frederick Aardema, co-founder of I-CBT. I also offer professional consultation and training in this approach through OCD Training School. I am trained in Exposure Response Prevention for OCD and Metacognitive Therapy for anxiety and rumination.

Therapy with me is warm, friendly, and inviting. I use a combination of education, training, years of clinical experience, and OCD lived experience to help you feel comfortable, validated, and informed. I want to help you pull back on the curtain on your anxiety and OCD, so you can see exactly how it works and choose to not get tricked again. I want you to be able to stop worrying and be present in the current moment. Mostly, I want to help you stop living in the shadow of unwarranted fear and learn to live a value-filled life as the real you.

Currently, I offer weekly individual therapy from 9-2 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Therapy is delivered by Zoom. Multiple factors impact how long someone is in therapy for, most estimates for completion of I-CBT and ERP are 16-20 weeks, but some find relief sooner. Many people choose to continue regular therapy after completing OCD treatment. I can offer individual therapy to people who reside in Connecticut or Florida.

Individual therapy costs are $175 for a 55 minute session. Fees are paid the day of session. I am out of network with insurance companies, but can offer a superbill that clients can submit to their insurance companies for reimbursement. The first session is 90 minutes and $265. I have limited sliding scale slots. If a client is forced to cancel within 24 hours, the session fee will be paid regardless of ability to attend appointment. I offer free 15-minute consultations.
